Season 3 Vicksburg Farmers Market

Mary Beth continues to give it her all for the city as she has organized a bigger and better farmers market this year. A new location, more vendors, and a no-dogs policy make for great Saturday mornings and Wednesday afternoons downtown. I have noticed the farmers bringing more variety, as well Let's continue to support this worthwhile effort.

Breeders Cup 2010 continues

Welcoming a little girl this time! Ms Cora Mae Lindsay arrived 3 weeks early, already keeping her parents on their toes. I told her I was also an early baby, but hopefully her mommy won't be back in the hospital for a while, unlike mine who had emergency surgery after my arrival.

Thirsty Thursday

As sweaty as I remember from last summer. It even rained in the 4th inning which made it even more humid. We missed Ginny who was in Detroit, and had a blast with Glenn and his friends.

I wish I was a little bit taller...

My nephew Donovan is playing T-ball with 3-5 yr old kids and I was lucky enough to get to a game while I was home in May. The kids are sooooooooooooooo cute, and they look like little puddles of clothes on the field. Some just want to play in the dirt, some dog pile on top of the ball instead of fielding it to the bases, but they all seem to be having fun. Of course I am biased, but Donovan is the ringer on the team, he is bigger and more coordinated than most of the kids.

Another hobby bites the dust

Turns out I was not meant to be a rower. We did a rowing clinic here at the Delft Student Rowing Club Proteus Eretes (you can see the University in the background). I was on a crew of 4 and it was hard work! I managed not to sink the boat or seriously injure any of my crew mates. They were almost as happy as I was to see dry land. From now on, I will stick to canoes and kayaks or boats with motors.
