Gone Bladder Gone

Six months in DC took its toll and cost Barrett a gallbladder. He presented with relatively early signs of distress, but it was enough for the doctors to know what the problem was. We took first opportunity to get it out so he could recover quickly and still enjoy the long weekend.

The yard provided some early season hydrangeas, because boy patients need flowers, too.

Ethnic Supper Club in DC

We dined al fresco on Ethiopian food last night. Spicy but delicious!
Jonathan, one of our neighbors, made the injera bread, lentil dishes and salad. Barrett and I contributed the doro wot, or spicy chicken stew, and a fish dish (not pictured).
