This year I tried to see a few of the Oscar movies before the awards ceremony last night, but failed parlessly. My inspiration for this is my friend Ro (see above) from Saint John. She and her friend Eileen make a commitment to see all the movies (by any means necessary) and then get together for an Oscar weekend. I strive to be in the likeness of these smut-queens. But even if I can't see then all, I enjoyed the awards more this year. Honestly, Jon Stewart is motivation enough.
