Forgive me, all you farmers and gardeners who love the rain, but this weekend's Buffalo River trip is in peril. Yesterday we pondered high water levels thanks to previous rains, and those have managed to come down to reasonable levels (real time data provided by USGS) Now we are worried about flash floods and the overall unappealing notion of soggy camping. Who knew precipitation would break my heart again? 
Field work in grad school was always in jeopardy, Delta Diners is usually plagued by torrential rains, possible tornadic activity and frogs (on the road, not falling from the sky.) Heartbreaking weather projections provided by weatherunderground.
